IELTS
The IELTS (International English Language Testing System) is a standardized test used to assess English language proficiency for non-native speakers. It is widely accepted by universities, immigration authorities, and employers around the world, especially in countries like the UK, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand.
Key Information:
Two Types:
IELTS Academic: For study at undergraduate or postgraduate level.
IELTS General Training: For work, immigration, or training programs.
Test Format:
Listening (30 minutes)
Reading (60 minutes)
Writing (60 minutes)
Speaking (11–14 minutes) – conducted face-to-face with an examiner.
Scoring:
Each section is scored on a band scale from 1 (non-user) to 9 (expert user). The average of the four scores gives the overall band score.Validity: Test scores are valid for 2 years.
